Megan Kelly, CNP
Certified Holistic Nutritionist
Megan is The Realistic Holistic, a holistic nutritionist working to make real food and a holistic lifestyle accessible to you and your real life.
Megan was thrown into the world of holistic nutrition out of necessity. Diagnosed with celiac disease, an autoimmune condition that affects the digestive tract, at 19 years old, Megan was forced to get familiar with how food affects the body. Megan’s case was more complicated than just going gluten-free, as it is for many with celiac disease. A number of years later, Megan was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, another autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid. It took Megan years of trial and error and plenty of schooling before she was finally able to find remission for both her autoimmune diseases. Now, Megan is on a mission to use her knowledge, expertise and personal experience to help others with digestive and autoimmune conditions to heal.
Megan received her BA from the University of Toronto before attending the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, where she received her diploma to become certified as a holistic nutritionist. From there, she continued her studies with Dr. Sarah Ballantyne to specialize in addressing autoimmune disorders with nutrition and lifestyle. Megan is now a certified AIP coach, indicating special training in using the Autoimmune Protocol in clinical practice to help you manage your autoimmune disease. Megan uses her formal training and applies personal experience to make tricky clinical protocols like AIP or GAPS, simple and applicable to your everyday life.
Although Megan specializes in digestive disorders and autoimmune disease, she also has plenty of clinical experience using nutrition to improve fertility, weight loss, blood sugar management, hormone balance, skin issues, mood disorders and more. Megan will apply her realistic holistic approach to whatever you can throw at her so that you can best address your own individual needs.
