I love what I do! I do it so I can help others truly feel their best and live their lives to the fullest. Having grown up in Pickering, it has been a dream to create a centre for…

Having undergone my own struggles to create my family, and after being diagnosed with ‘unexplained infertility’ and experiencing recurrent miscarriages, I knew there…
Dr. Nadine Gavin H.BSc, ND
“Your health in your hands”
Let me tell you a bit about my personal philosophy:
I became a Naturopathic Doctor to help people understand their health and support them in making the best decisions for themselves and their families. I believe you deserve a health …
Dr. Christal Blanchard BSc, MSc, CISSN, ND
Hi, I’m Christal Blanchard and understanding the “why” of every case is my approach to addressing your concerns rather than managing symptoms. Your symptoms are simply the compass that points us in the right direction so that we can bring balance to the mind and body by addressing the root cause of the condition. This realization occurred to me at a very young age after many…
Dr. Brie Crerar H.BSc, ND
Life can be so much better once we have our health working for us, not against us! My ultimate goal is to provide you with the tools you need to feel better, because your health should not be a barrier to living your best life. My own struggles with my hormones and digestive system, are what sparked my passion of working with women who are tired of being tired,…
Zori Galstanian, DOF (France)
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Since my early childhood, I was attracted to the medical field. It was therefore normal for me to move towards medical school after completing high school. Very soon, I realized that allopathic medicine didn’t interest me, so I tried to find a different specialty. I discovered Osteopathy: to me it was obvious, because first of all, it is a holistic medicine, which allows us to have…
Annemarie Craigen, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
One of my earliest memories was rubbing my grandma’s knees for her after gardening; I always volunteered, and she told me that I have “the touch” – that delighted me to no end!
I became a registered massage therapist in 2001 to help relieve people’s pain and suffering. When the lymphatic system sparked my interest in 2004, I studied and became certified to…

Hi, I’m Megan Kelly. I go by The Realistic Holistic because that encompasses my philosophy and my approach as a holistic nutritionist. My goal is always to make real food and a holistic lifestyle accessible to you and your real life.

Wendy Shanks, RN
I achieved honours in Nursing science from Queen’s University in 1989. I started my career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where I spent 10 years looking after critically ill infants and helping families during what was suppose to be one of the happiest times of their lives. After struggling to start a family of my own, I shifted my focus to women’s health and specialized…
As a native New Yorker who moved to the Durham region in the early 2000s, I’d like to dispel the rumor that New Yorkers are rude. With almost 20 years of prior experience in the healthcare field, I am proud to continue to help others as they improve their health and quality of life. When you visit us at DNHC, I will endeavor to bring you pleasant, competent service with the attentiveness you deserve (pending my consumption of black coffee). I understand the challenges of living with and overcoming complicated health issues and can appreciate how difficult it is to fix unhealthy habits. This is why I will do all that I can to assist you on your health journey, offering you kindness, respect, and a genuine smile whenever you contact DNHC.
I am a recent graduate of the Naturopathic Medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I am in the final stretch of becoming a Naturopathic Doctor as I am currently studying to complete my final set of board exams. Throughout my naturopathic schooling and internship, I developed a passion for women’s health and fertility support and cannot wait to work with this population in the future!
Prior to studying Naturopathic Medicine, I attended the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, where I received training to become a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and also obtained my Honours Bachelor degree in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa.
When not studying, you will likely find me recharging at the cottage, trying out a new Peloton workout or whipping up a fun recipe in the kitchen!
I am currently in my fourth year of Naturopathic Medical School at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. As part of my education I am interning at both the Brampton Naturopathic Teaching Clinic, and the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, where I am part of the Mental Health Focus Shift. Prior to Medical School, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. When I am not busy studying, I enjoy spending time at my cottage, baking, and practicing yoga.
I am thrilled to be part of such an inspiring, integrative team here at DNHC!
“Science, nutrition and nature are my three biggest passions. I love naturopathic medicine because it is a field that allows me to embrace these passions. I am a graduate from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelors of Science in Nutritional and Nutraceutical science. Now, I am pursuing my dream of becoming a naturopathic doctor by studying at the Canadian college of naturopathic medicine. My position as a receptionist at Durham Natural Health Centre allows me to learn invaluable lessons from both patients and practitioners. I really admire the integrative environment at DNHC and I have no doubt that my experience here will help shape me into a better naturopathic doctor and will be a major contributor to the type of practitioner I become.
Working alongside such dedicated professionals is constantly fuelling my drive to help others in improving their health and quality of life. I love contributing to the positive and welcoming environment at DNHC and am so grateful for the opportunity to work here. When I am not working or studying, I love weight training, practicing yoga, trying new vegan recipes and spending time with my friends and family.”
