Meet the Team

Dr. Natalie McCulloch H.BKin, ND

Naturopathic Doctor and Co-Founder of DNHC

I love what I do! I do it so I can help others truly feel their best and live their lives to the fullest. My twin sis, Dr. Nicole Sandilands ND and I opened Durham Natural Health Centre almost 8 years ago. We always knew we wanted to create a space for healing and transformation for our community. Having grown up in Pickering, it has been a dream to create a centre for…

Dr. Christal Blanchard BSc, MSc, CISSN, ND

Naturopathic Doctor - Virtual appointments only

Hi, I’m Christal Blanchard and understanding the “why” of every case is my approach to addressing your concerns rather than managing symptoms. Your symptoms are simply the compass that points us in the right direction so that we can bring balance to the mind and body by addressing the root cause of the condition. This realization occurred to me at a very young age after many…

Dr. Brie Crerar H.BSc, ND

Life can be so much better once we have our health working for us, not against us!  My ultimate goal is to provide you with the tools you need to feel better, because your health should not be a barrier to living your best life. My own struggles with my hormones and digestive system, are what sparked my passion of working with women who are tired of being tired,…

Struggling through life can be hard when you feel like your health concerns are not heard or you feel as if you might just have to “live with it”. I am a Naturopathic doctor focused on YOU and my ultimate goal is to give you the tools so that you feel ready to tackle any health concern that comes your way, and to feel like there's someone always in your corner with no judgement or wrong intentions.

Dr. Destiny Spurrell, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

Passionate about IV therapy, I focus on helping others feel nourished and regain their sense of self. Having personally experienced burnout and recovery, I openly share insights on balancing aspects like femininity/masculinity, rest/productivity, and inward/outward energy. Our relationship with self, body, and mind is at the core of this journey. Want to come hangout in the IV lounge & start feeling better faster?

Dr. Lei Gu ND

Naturopathic Doctor

I spent the most recent 9.5 years working with cancer patients at an integrative medicine clinic. Working with this patient population has been, and continues to be the most rewarding and humbling experience for me as a clinician. I have had the opportunity to work with patients not typically seen at naturopathic practices. This allowed me to see limitations of both conventional as well as naturopathic approaches. To achieve the best possible outcome, an integrative approach is necessary.

LISA DUCHARME BScN, MN, NP-PHC

Nurse Practitioner at Durham Natural Health Centre (DNHC)

A nurse practitioner with over two decades of nursing experience. I am passionate about women’s health, particularly women experiencing perimenopause and menopause. Women take care of everyone else before they care for themselves, which has immeasurable consequences...

Jessica Johnston, BA Psych, BNSc, MA, PHC-NP

Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner

I feel there is a gap in current health care. Working primarily in emergency departments in Canada

and the United States I’m well-versed in band aid like solutions instead of taking a proactive/wholistic

approach to health and wellness. I believe there is room in health care for utilizing all the tools

available and collaboration with other professionals to achieve your optimal health.

Zori Galstanian, DOF (France)

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

Since my early childhood, I was attracted to the medical field. It was therefore normal for me to move towards medical school after completing high school. Very soon, I realized that allopathic medicine didn’t interest me, so I tried to find a different specialty. I discovered Osteopathy: to me it was obvious, because first of all, it is a holistic medicine, which allows us to have…

Annemarie Craigen, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

One of my earliest memories was rubbing my grandma’s knees for her after gardening; I always volunteered, and she told me that I have “the touch” – that delighted me to no end!

I became a registered massage therapist in 2001 to help relieve people’s pain and suffering. When the lymphatic system sparked my interest in 2004, I studied and became certified to…

Amanda Tombler, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Empowering individuals on their journey to wellness has been the cornerstone of my career since 2009. As a dedicated massage therapist, I find immense fulfillment in facilitating the healing process for my clients. My journey began with comprehensive training at Centennial College, where I immersed myself in the art and science of massage therapy.

Sonoko Sato, R.Ac

Registered Acupuncturist

Sonoko practices Japanese Acupuncture which is a technique that is very gentle, has minimal pain and uses a small amount of needles. She graduated AIM Academy and OCTCM, and started her journey as a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner in 2019. Her skills can not only provide pain relief, but also can help anxiety, depression, gynecology issues and variety of digestive problems.

During her off days, she enjoys teaching Japanese language and calligraphy for students.

Evangeline Magtuto

Patient Care Coordinator

As a native New Yorker who moved to the Durham region in the early 2000s, I’d like to dispel the rumor that New Yorkers are rude. With almost 20 years of prior experience in the healthcare field, I am proud to continue to help others as they improve their health and quality of life. When you visit us at DNHC, I will endeavor to bring you pleasant, competent service with the attentiveness you deserve (pending my consumption of black coffee). I understand the challenges of living with and overcoming complicated health issues and can appreciate how difficult it is to fix unhealthy habits. This is why I will do all that I can to assist you on your health journey, offering you kindness, respect, and a genuine smile whenever you contact DNHC.

Wendy Zantingh

Patient Care Coordinator

I have always loved jobs where I can care for others. From my first job—where I worked with seniors—I was certain I wanted to be in the medical field. I believe health is holistic, so I’ve always been drawn to the more natural approach to life. I love learning about the way things used to be done and I spend my time canning, making my own beauty products, crafting new recipes for herbal remedies, and wild foraging. I love nature and I am most at peace spending time camping with my friends, family, and pets.

Lindsey Ennis

Office Manager

While you may not have seen Lindsey’s face at the front desk, you have had the pleasure of speaking with her on the phone. She is the backbone of the clinic and keeps things running smoothly and efficiently for us. She has a background in customer service and is always looking for ways to make your experience at DNHC as pleasant as possible. She has 2 girls that keep her schedule very busy - whether it is being at the rink watching hockey or on the field watching lacrosse.

Olivia Kulchyk

Patient Care Coordinator

I am a student at CCNM studying Naturopathic Medicine, with an aim to focus my practice in supporting women’s health and pediatrics. When I’m not studying or at DNHC, you can find me tending to my tomato garden, sweating it out in a workout class or somewhere under the sun in a floral dress!
